• ½ cup butter
• 12 slices regular bread
• ½ cup brown sugar
• 1 ½ tsp. cinnamon
• ½ tsp. nutmeg
• 1 tsp. vanilla extract
• 5 eggs
• 1 ½ cups milk
Preparation:
1. Melt the butter and pour into casserole dish
2. Add 6 slices of the bread
3. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla
extract
4. Sprinkle half the sugar mixture over the bread
5. Add another layer of bread
6. In a separate bowl, combine eggs and milk. Pour over casserole.
7. Top with remaining sugar mixture
8. Cover casserole and refrigerate several hours or overnight
9. Bake at 175 degrees C for 15 minutes
